How to Report Your Student's Attendance
NEW! Submit Absence Requests through Infinite Campus Parent Portal
NEW for the 2024-25 school year, parents/guardians can submit absence, late arrival and leave early requests directly through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. This can be done using your desktop computer or the Parent Portal app on your mobile device. This convenient new process is designed to streamline the attendance reporting process and minimize any attendance errors.
Options for Reporting Your Student's Absence:
During the 2024-25 school year, parents/guardians will have two options for submitting absence, late arrival and early leave requests for their student(s)--directly through Infinite Campus Parent Portal OR by emailing the school's attendance email.
Please only report your student's absence, late arrival or early leave using ONE of the methods listed below.
Late Arrivals & Early Dismissals
Late Arrivals
Students who arrive late for any reason (except a late bus or safety patrol duty) must sign-in with the attendance clerk or main office before going to class. Parents/Guardians must escort their student and swipe their driver's license/state issued ID card upon arrival to gain access to the building.
Early Dismissal
For excused absences during the day, such as doctor or dental appointments, students are expected to bring a written note stating the times they are to be excused. A parent must enter the building, scan their driver's license or state issued ID before the student will be dismissed from the classroom. If a child is returning to school from an appointment, they must sign in at the main office before returning to class.

When a student is absent for any reason, the parent is expected to notify the school's attendance clerk by email (preferred) at CVEattendance@isd194.org or by phone at 952-232-3207. Please provide your child’s name, teacher’s name, grade level, and reason for the absence.

School Hours
Arrival Time: 9:17 a.m.
Start Time: 9:25 a.m.
Dismissal: 3:55 p.m.
Buses Leave: 4:00 p.m.
Arrival and Departure
Students may enter the building and proceed to their classrooms when the first bus arrives at approximately 9:17 a.m. Students who do not ride the bus should not arrive at school prior to 9:15 a.m. as we do not provide supervision prior to 9:15 a.m. Students may not enter the building (unless they are in Kid Zone) until 9:17 a.m. For children who need early/after school supervision, please enroll in Kid Zone through Lakeville Area Community Education.
